ELEVATING YOUNG CHANGEMAKERS WITH PURPOSE AND PRIDE
At Bright Lights For Africa Foundation, we believe that every young person deserves to be seen, celebrated, and empowered to lead. The Programme Excellence Étoile Noire is a Youth Leadership Program that was created to uplift Black Francophone youth who show exceptional promise through their academic dedication, community engagement, and cultural pride. Each year, participants take part in leadership workshops, mentorship opportunities, community involvement activities, and cultural empowerment sessions that affirm their identity and elevate their voices. These experiences help youth build confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging, and develop the skills they need to lead with purpose—in school, at home, and within their communities. At its core, the program is about leadership development: supporting young people as they rise, express their potential, and shape a brighter, more empowered future for themselves and their community.
