OUR PROGRAMS
Economic Empowerment
In partnership with members of the community, we aim to empower women to start and succeed in business ventures within their local economy that would lead to the eradication of poverty.
Healthcare
The World Health Organisation (WHO) states that to understand health as a human right it means providing “access to timely, acceptable, and affordable health care of appropriate quality”. At Bright Lights for Africa, we aim to improve the health of the community by educating community members on ways to prevent disease. Through such initiatives we aim to protect the most vulnerable from every illness.
Emergency Relief
Supporting communities, families, and individuals as they rebuild following natural or man-made disasters. By providing the basic necessities (food, shelter, and clothing) in addition to comfort and protection.
Education Support
Knowledge is the key to the future. According to data from the UNESCO (2020) literacy rate is 77.04% for individuals 15 years and older and of that 88.5% is for men and 66.5% for women. By supporting families to send their children to school, we assist in eradicating illiteracy. Providing children with an access to education unlocks their future and protects them from exploitation.
