Helping feed our neighbors, one meal at a time. Our grocery gift card initiative helps families put food on the table during uncertain times. Join us in the fight against hunger!

Bread Drop Off Dropping Center

With support from Second Harvest we donated dozens of boxes of bakery items that were scheduled to be food waste. Second Harvest allows us to ensure food does not go to waste.

Solidarity Kitchen Prepared Meal Drop-Off

With help from Solidarity Kitchen and Second Harvest, our volunteers created and delivered hundreds of pounds of food to those who needed it most.

Securing Groceries

To kick off 2022, our team of volunteers worked tirelessly to secure and package food hampers for families in Calgary. Many of the communities we serve still face food insecurity challenges due to the negative impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic. With the support of donors, Bright Lights for Africa will continue to support families with food supplies and uplift them through love, compassion, and generosity.

Distributing Food Hampers

With support from our community partner Wings of Hope for Africa and through the dedication of our volunteers, we distributed food hampers, toiletries, and cleaning supplies to families in Calgary.

Packaging Meat for Delivery

Our volunteers tirelessly delivered food hampers to those in the Calgary and the greater area. Access to food was a challenge for a lot of the community in 2020. With the uncertainty of how Covid would progress, and the community worried about job security Bright Lights for Africa knew we needed to help.

Distributing Meat Products

We distributed over 4,500 lbs of meat products consisting of steak, turkey breast, shrimp, chicken, eggs, and vegetables to nearly 100 families across Calgary. We are thankful to all our volunteers who tirelessly and selflessly give their time and resources to serve members of the community.
